Software Training
We provide hands-on training across the estimating and measurement platforms used in the Australian construction market including CostX, Bluebeam and Buildxact. Training is tailored to your experience level and your business needs, from basic setup and navigation through to advanced measurement techniques, template building, rate libraries and reporting.
All training is delivered on your computer using your own projects and drawings so you are learning in your actual working environment, not a demo file. Participants must have their own licensed version of the software installed before training begins. Without access to the platform in your day-to-day work, training has limited value - you need to be able to apply what you learn immediately.
Estimating Methodology Training
Beyond the software, we train builders and junior estimators in the methodology behind accurate construction estimating including:
How to read and interpret drawings.
How to structure a take-off by trade in construction sequence.
How to build rates from first principles - materials, labour, plant and ancillaries.
How to identify scope gaps and missing items.
How to present an estimate to a client or in a tender submission.
This training is designed for builders who want to bring some estimating capability in-house, junior estimators starting their career and QS graduates transitioning into practice.

One-on-one sessions
Tailored to your specific needs, delivered remotely via screen share or in person across Melbourne.
Group sessions
For teams of two to six, ideal for builders upskilling their office staff or estimating teams.
Ongoing support
After training is complete, we remain available for questions as they come up in your day-to-day work. Session length is typically 2 to 4 hours depending on the topic and your experience level. We can structure a single session for a specific skill or a multi-session programme covering the full estimating workflow from drawing interpretation through to tender submission.
